Purchasing Manager

I want a lower total cost per home, not just a lower rate.

Challenges

  • Focusing on kWh pricing but not meter connection or labor costs
  • Re-work delays and downstream impact
  • No leverage beyond “here’s a rate”

How UtilityOn helps

  • Highly competitive retail pricing
  • Expert advice delivers full cost transparency
  • Reduced manual coordination and power-delay costs

Outcome

Lower total cost of power (and a great rate).

Admin / Starts Coordinator

  • Juggling multiple emails, portals and phone calls

How UtilityOn helps

  • One simple, consistent way to request and track connections
  • Clear ownership and accountability over the entire lifecycle
  • No more annoyed “any update?” calls

Outcome

Clear answers without constantly chasing utilities.

Construction Manager

I want faster starts, fewer delays and less noise.

Challenges

  • No calling utilities, retailers or municipalities
  • Clean meter close-out at end of construction

Outcome

Sites powered on time, with much less hassle.

How it works

Our process is simple.

Send us a weekly starts file

Or manually request individual meters in a few clicks.

Relax as we handle everything

ESI-IDs, meter installs, fixing issues, and progress updates.

Request the perm meter

When you’re ready — in just one click, regardless of utility.

Transfer the account

Hand it to the homeowner before closing day. One click. Done.

Plus track every meter, regardless of utility, in one simple online dashboard.

What builders say

Quick electricity connections are critical, but frequent issues pushed back our timelines — prior to UtilityOn.

Now our construction managers report ESI-IDs and meters turning around in days instead of weeks or even months.

UtilityOn delivers faster power onsite, visibility over all our meters, and expert support — so our team stays focused on core business tasks.

What you save

How much will you save?

We save Texas home builders over 3 hours per site on average — which adds up to major operational savings over the course of a year. That’s the time your team would otherwise spend coordinating temporary & permanent meter connections across multiple utility websites, call centres and processes.

With UtilityOn, your team stops wasting time on these tedious tasks:

Requesting, recording and submitting ESI-IDs

Plus chase scheduled installation dates.

Constantly chasing progress updates

Including frequently waiting on hold for extended periods.

Dealing with multiple email attachments

All messages and files are neatly organized online.

Opening, checking and closing retailer accounts

Thanks to our once-off Multi-Site Agreement (MSA).

Fixing regular, time-consuming issues

Complex request processes, city permits, site access, install delays.

Manually updating the whole team

Everyone gets progress emails and dashboard access.

Documenting, maintaining & sharing info

Multiple utility logins, accounts, contacts and process notes — in one place.

Arranging account closure or transfer

Often requiring multiple calls to homeowners to avoid ongoing bills.

Before UtilityOn, we constantly had problems connecting and transferring the power. It was so bad that closing dates were sometimes put at risk.

Now everything runs much smoother because Jeremy and the UtilityOn team chase up everything for us.

We save heaps of time and they do it for free which is awesome.

Fees and charges

No fees or charges are payable to UtilityOn in any de-regulated area (about 90% of Texas building sites).

We charge $100 1(electric) & $100 (gas) per home in regulated areas where our costs are not offset by Retailer subsidies. Invoicing occurs once the electric meter installation is scheduled or gas service line is installed.

In both cases, you are still responsible for any Utility or Retailer fees and charges for the provision of the meter and/or services.

1 Effective for requests submitted from 1st November 2025, requests submitted prior remain at the previous rate of $125 (for electric).
